I live a few houses down the street from you, so let me introduce myself!
I am originally from Hamburg in Germany, and I came to live in London a few years ago. I have a normal daytime job working in central London. So if you think you recognised me on the train last week, then it was probably me!
Outside the office hours, I sing. I don’t mean Britney Spears or Leona Lewis, just a girl who really enjoys singing and music. I also play the piano, and I write my own songs. Over the last year, I spent many evenings and weekends in a London studio, recording with two producers. I have just recently finished my first album “Bright Outlook”, which you can listen to on my website.
Some of the songs from Bright Outlook are being air-played on "Retail radio", as well as on the online station "Amazing Radio", and my song “Stronger” was a finalist in the UK Songwriting Competition.
I also play live in and around London. You will find me in acoustic music venues, intimate pubs and bars. I love playing in coffee shops on Sunday afternoons, and have performed for Starbucks before. I also sang in the Open Mic UK singing competition in the regional finals, and it was amazing performing in the live show in front of such a big audience.
All these activities are a lot of work and take a lot of time. Especially having to work full-time during the day, finding all the energy in the evenings and on the weekends can prove challenging. But it's a testament to how passionate I am about my music (and I enjoy doing it, too).
